Incoherent Thoughts

Damn Zeromus. You didn't give me this much trouble in the GBA version. D: I tried to beat FF4 DS to get it over with, but noo... Of course Zeromus wouldn't let me do that. My doom ended up being that strong attack of his (sorry, forgot the name. I was too busy issuing commands to read the messages) followed almost immediately by Meteor. And of course Kain had 0 MP due to Zeromus being overzealous with using Aspir, so even Phoenix didn't kick in.
Lunar Subterrane and Lunar Core ended up being relatively easy. Levels 80-84 when I last checked, and I guess the same levels in my latest save since I hardly fought anything on the way down. Just one Behemoth that surprised me (it ended up being easier to kill it than to escape from it) and one of Zemus Mind and Zemus Breath each, since I didn't yet have those in the bestiary.
The cutscenes? Once again blew my mind away. As well as the Lunar Core. Am I completely off the mark or was that a gigantic crystal? It's hard to believe this is on the 'underpowered' DS. Totally looking forward to the ending, that should be amazing. =D

Wrote a couple FF2 character profiles and the start of their summaries. Need to do more of them.. I guess it would be easier if I'd played it recently, but I'm getting the PSP version this month so don't really feel like starting another playthrough on the GBA version. Plus, you know, enough games to finish already... Anyway, might try writing profiles for Minwu and other temporary party characters today, the 20th Anniversary Ultimania Character File is insanely useful in something like that. It's part of the reason why I got it. :P

Sometime in the past couple days, the trees have gotten leaves.

It's hot it's hot it's hot. Why?! It's only second of May! I went out earlier and it was hot enough that some people were wearing summer clothes. At this time of the year, one could expect to have to wear at least a light jacket to keep warm. x__x Not to mention all the green grass. I have no idea where that came from, as I sure don't remember any from Wednesday.
Looks like it'll be another hot summer. How I detest these.
Not to mention that the warm (/hot) weather makes my life much more unbearable otherwise, too. All the stench in the air multiplies by I don't know how much. As you might remember, I'm allergic to cats and dogs and other furry creatures. As you might also remember, my sister has two dogs and three cats. Life is not very pleasant, I can tell you that.

I've been really bored recently. Can't concentrate at all on my usual stuff. Even got around to reading books again. xD; Some of those ebooks I've got piled up, apparently from the last seven weeks. Managed to finish one of them today, Crystal Rain by Tobias Buckell. While the local speech patterns annoyed me pretty much, the world had some interesting building blocks. The story, too. I couldn't even see where it was going until almost half-way through the book, quite surprising for what amounts to a pretty standard sci-fi book. It managed to disguise itself pretty well through the first half, a commendable feat. I couldn't even recognize it as a sci-fi book, Aztec warriors and blood-thirsty gods aren't exactly common sci-fi material. But it all became clear around the half-way point of the book. A pity, although it still remained rather interesting even after I could see where it was going.
I can't even remember anymore in what order I got these books, so I'm just reading them in alphabetical order (according to the author's last name). *rolls eyes*

I've never liked games like Grand Theft Auto. I've never wanted anything to do with it and its ilk. Yet, today it's managed to annoy me no end. GTA4, specifically. It was released today, and every single gaming site is so full of that shit you wouldn't believe. >.< It isn't even limited to gaming sites. Regular news sites keep spurning out story after story about it. (oh, the tragedy! They can't bring in enough copies of the game to fill even the pre-orders!) Blogs I follow regularly mention it. Every disruptive ad that manages to find its way to me seems to be advertising GTA4. Even my sister, that traitor, managed to first wake me up, then proclaim in a loud voice that she bought one lol, it was the second-to-last copy there, lololol. Is there no end?! >.<

So very tired... even though I slept most of the day. Or maybe because of it. Maybe I'll just go back to sleep. Today's scheduled to be another 'hottest day of the year yet', which is weird. It may be the end of April, but it's still April. I remember years when we've had snow in mid-May. In that light, getting 20 degrees in April is a bit...off. Although recently, it's been happening pretty much every year.

I wonder if I should celebrate Beltane for once. I mean, it's not like I've forgotten the feastdays for more than three years or so. =D;
