For some reason, I'm really tired...shouldn't be, not at this time yet.
Up to day 182 in MLaaK (have I mentioned that I really prefer the Japanese title? It ties into the story much better than 'My Life as a King'), playing is surprisingly slow as there's so much to do. Well...'much'. There'd be way less if I didn't insist on talking to as many people as I can during the day. After all, there's not really any point to keeping their happiness high anymore. Unless I start shifting around the houses, I've already gotten all the medals I can in this game, seeing how I have 9 of each they give out in their current positions, and all but a few of my adventurers have all three behavior medals handed out to them already. Not to mention that my kingdom long since reached the highest status. So why do I keep increasing the family relations? Hmm.
...all but one house have quite bearable (= maxed or almost maxed) happiness. That particular house (Wayne is the father of the household, I can't remember the others) is a spacious house across the street from my second White Mage Temple. I bet Marron (the headmistress, or whatever she should be called) is really glad to live right across the street from a house where the father gets kicked out at night regularly. xD (I can't really do anything about it, no matter what I do I can't seem to catch anyone but Wayne walking about town.)
Oh, and Arand (my third adventurer Martina's father) finally showed what an uppity bastard he is. He told me that he was against her becoming an adventurer from the beginning, and told me to get rid of the Dark Lord before she has to 'go to the front lines'. Hah, I knew it! Always walking about town like he owns it, keeping his second daughter at home (Emily very, very rarely goes out) and his wife comes out just to visit the bakery! Hmph.
I have all three thief ability research branches up to level 100. :P Others are 70-75 though, depending on if they need more resources at level 70 or not. My best party of adventurers is good, but at level 43-52, they're not that good, to go against level 70 bosses. Unlocking further research on them will just have to wait a while.
It's quiet worrying. I should probably let my four best adventurers to go alone for a while, the others are catching up to them. Yvonne (my fifth adventurer) is level 42, and even all the others are 34-40. Although the four lowest-level ones are lagging behind in more ways than one, they don't have nearly enough medals to compete with my best party even if they had the same levels.
I've started on the Infinity Spire now, cleared level 10 and 11 floors. Got two Phoenix medals and two Partygoer medals for my troubles. Partygoer seems quite useful, but I don't see myself ever using the Phoenix ones. I mean...wow. It gives the adventurer a Phoenix Down. How awesome. >.>
(Well, maybe I'll end up giving out those if I've ever maxed out the stats and still play..)
The level 12 floor seems to have Ifrit as the boss. =D Ifrit+3 it says. The level 10 floor was Apocrypha, and level 11 was...Jumbo Cactuar, I think. Naturally, neither was very hard, as they were levels 12 and 13, respectively. It was seriously strange seeing a life-bar boss's health drop quite visibly in huge chunks...
My traveling adventurers encountered Dire Wolf (level 100) and companions a couple days ago. First I wondered why suddenly I got messages of the travelers dying (since they're level 60+, and the highest-level dungeon available for them to train in is 42. They were partied up, even!), but it was admittedly amusing after I realized what must've happened. Good thing that my own adventurers haven't fallen to those annoying traveling beasts after that Behemoth incident in the beginning...
The more I think of it, the more I want to write a Leo/Chime fic. I have a basic outline ready, I'd just need a couple more ideas for what actually happens... *ponders* What I have in mind already isn't enough for the length it'd have to be...
Of course, providing I don't end up writing just the latter half of the story and end up with pwp. Ehh. Let's hope not.
Heh, seems like they're recommending a lifetime disbarment for Jack Thompson. It's about time, yes? xD
