Egg-hunt Eggstravaganza 2009 started today in FF11, and that means gathering initial eggs, these eggs marked with letters. You need all sorts of combinations to get event items, for a total of fifteen different ones. ....yeah. The combinations all require 3-8 eggs each. That's a whole load of eggs I need. It complicates matters that you can only get one egg per Vana'diel day if you don't want to pay for them (I need to save gil for other matters so currently I can't pay for them), so this is gonna take long. Good thing this event isn't ending anytime soon.
I'm up to four eggs on both Jenare and Ellanore, fifth in about 25 minutes. I seem to be rather lucky, because all the eggs I've received so far (they're random) I can use in some combination.
I wonder if people'd still buy initial eggs towards the end of the event. I mean, if I manage to get all my combos (or at least all on Jenare and the most interesting ones on Ella) I could consider idling around an event moogle and selling all the eggs I get from the moogle. The standard price for initial eggs in Sandy seems to be around 1k-5k gil...easy money.
Weird day, having to boot up FF11 every 57.something minutes. Good thing I have a lot to do that doesn't require uninterrupted attention, just stuff like updating IJ and LJ, reading a couple manga I bought yesterday, checking my mail in Dissidia, perhaps playing a bit on some handheld... The bad thing with this of course is that I keep changing what I do after every hour since I'm no longer interested in what I was doing before after getting that day's egg. xD;
We unlocked Summoner with Kitty the last time we played properly. =D I just forgot to mention it. I got a couple nice screenies from our rainbow (every time someone unlocks SMN, the next Vana'diel day there'll be a rainbow in the skies of La Theine Plateau), although sadly we were at the wrong side of the Crag there to get screenies of the whole arc. It faded before we'd managed to run around the Crag.
Also went to farm in Yughott, but it was getting late, and when Kitty had to go for dinner I ended up logging out and going to sleep. Got only one drop of the four I need, and I can't even go turn in that one since I need another of the same kind to complete that particular quest.
So. Version update done, and A Crystalline Prophecy activated. While we can't finish that story anytime soon since the final fights require a party of 75s, we won't be able to avoid activating the first mission of it. It only requires zoning in to Jeuno, and we can't avoid Jeuno until we're 75. xD; I haven't really thought about it before, but we can't really avoid activating Chains of Promathia too, at some point. We need to go to Delkfutt for some nation missions pretty soon. And what about Treasures of Aht Urhgan? I think we might even have to complete some missions on it to unlock various stuff that makes life much more convenient. Hmmh.
Easter in RL, huh... I hate these multi-day things most of all. Always have to try to remember which days you can go buy food on, and remember to buy enough for the days you can't. Ugh, keep your cruddy feast days out of my life. D:
